Specifically, this position designs and develops instructor-led, virtual instructor-led and Web-based training in support of newly identified opportunities within the client organization. Other duties include conducting needs analysis and other research to identify and validate training needs, making recommendations on training designs based on customer requirements, and developing content. The Instructional Design Intern will report to the Instructional Designer and will support the Research and Development department. This position will support various online learning initiatives, such as migrating content, generating reports, and monitoring user experience. Primary Objective:
The Learning and Development Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of innovative and contemporary learning and development programs that supports strategies to build a sustainable, resilient, and adaptable workforce.Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and revitalize all existing learning and development activities considering new modes of delivery for remote workers, residential, professional, administrative staff and volunteers.
  • Co-ordinate and maintain the organizations orientation program for new staff and volunteers that includes service and position specific checklists, self directed learning packages, buddying and mentoring, corporate orientation and customer care programs.
  • Coordinate and maintain the organizational learning and development calendars and associated awareness months, considering mechanisms to promote the various activities and maximize participation from staff and volunteers across the company’s geographic footprint.
  • Oversee the planning, delivery and evaluation of mandatory training programs to ensure skilled staff and volunteers and compliancy with quality standards and audit requirements. This includes the preparation of reports on staff attendance and follow up actions.

  • Researches, selects, and modifies existing training curriculum, content, materials, job aids, etc. to meet learning needs.
  • Reviews program evaluations, test results, and participant and manager feedback on training effectiveness to make recommendations for program improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or professional designation in Instructional Design or related field preferred.

The Solution Architect (SA) joins a dynamic team that leads and manages the CoreAxis’ business development initiatives. This L&D expert partners closely with CoreAxis team members to define all aspects of new training projects, including the learning solution(s), timeline, resources, budget and project plan; to address client needs, challenges and desired outcomes. This individual embodies and presents CoreAxis’ capabilities and customizes / develops all documentation to win and initiate new projects. Confidence and expertise in both Project Management and Instructional Design are crucial to this role, as both skills are used daily. Crafting solutions and impacting a lot of projects, but not doing the actual development (e.g. storyboarding, e-learning development) must be appealing. The capability of building organizational trust quickly through client centered consultation and presenting oneself in a professional, collected manner is also extremely important

Responsibilities and Activities:

   Client Acquisition and Engagement:

  • Applying understanding of instructional design approaches combined with CoreAxis capabilities and expertise to create and define solutions to clients’ training challenges and needs
  • Leading scoping meetings with clients to ascertain their needs; asking appropriate questions to gather information to propose a solution and documenting responses
  • Providing real-time recommendations and consulting clients to engage them, fuel discussions and build trust and rapport
  • Leading internal discussions regarding new projects and defining the solution with assistance from internal team members
  • Participating in scope, pricing and timeline negotiations
  • Estimating work effort for the solution using the CoreAxis proprietary scoping and estimating processes, combined with input from team members

Description

Specifically, this position designs and develops instructor-led, virtual instructor-led and Web-based training in support of newly identified opportunities within the client organization. Other duties include conducting needs analysis and other research to identify and validate training needs, making recommendations on training designs based on customer requirements, and developing content. Candidate should be comfortable working in a fast changing and growing entrepreneurial environment. Candidates will be required to provide technical learning-related writing and design samples, preferably where innovative client solutions can be clearly demonstrated.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates and utilizes effective needs analysis, project management, courses development and evaluation skills.
  • Develop content, including text, graphics, and multimedia, using Photoshop, Illustrator, audio and video capture programs.
  • Design and develop high quality technical training materials; including video’s, multimedia learning solutions, eLearnings, job aids, and Instructor-led presentations.
  • A solid understanding of web and mobile technologies, a background in instructional design, education, and/or learning theory.
  • Multi-faceted production experience in online training, or digital media environment, including experience designing and developing courses using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, video, and graphics.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, and work on multiple projects simultaneously with great efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work in a team-based, fast-paced atmosphere with high standards for quality, accuracy, and innovation.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of instructional technology experience in course development in an online learning environment.
  • Master’s degree in instructional design. Or a certificate or degree in Instructional Technology preferred.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Proven experience in Instructional Design and Technology, experience in video a must (please provide samples).
  • Flexibility in changing priorities and projects to meet demand and deadlines.
  • Technical skills: Storyline 2, SnagIt, Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia, Adobe Fireworks or Photoshop, Brainshark.
  • Web-development experience (html, css, JavaScript) a PLUS
  • Experience with a learning management systems desired.
  • Experience with mobile learning desired.
