Panviva’s online learning feature allows you to use simple quizzing functionality to engage users as new policies or trainings occur within your organization. You can then run basic reporting on the results of these engagements.
Here are three ways you can utilize this feature:
1. Policy acknowledgements
As new or updated policies are introduced, you can use online learning to assign the policy to users and then have them acknowledge their understanding.
- Migrate your policy using Panviva’s Policy template.
- Add a final page.
- Using the Training Features section, add a multiple-choice question. This is where you can ask for acknowledgement from the user.
- Convert the policy to a training document.
- Assign to users.
- Run reports.
2. Knowledge checks
As you train users on how to navigate content in Panviva, you can use online learning to create knowledge checks to reinforce the learning.
- Create a blank document.
- Use the Training Features section to add knowledge check questions.
- Convert the knowledge check document to a training document.
- Assign to users.
- Run reports.
3. Scavenger hunt
Scavenger hunts are a great way to promote user adoption, as well as to reinforce learning. This would be different than a knowledge check, as you are guiding users to find specific information within your Panviva system, while at the same time getting them comfortable with navigation and searching.
The best way to create a scavenger hunt would be to use a side window. By using the side window, users can have the content side-by-side with the window so they can easily answer the scavenger hunt questions.
- Create a side window document.
- Use the Training Features section to add scavenger hunt questions.
- Convert the side window document to a training document.
- Assign to users.
- Run reports.
Regardless of how you use the online learning feature in Panviva, you can run reports to track user progress:
- Training curriculum: Displays what training documents have been assigned to a user role.
- Training curriculum not attempted: Displays what user or role has not yet attempted to complete the training document.
- Training history: Displays historical training results by user or role.
- Training results: Displays current training results by user or role.
Training results are displayed as pass/fail. While you can specify a percentage that is considered passing, Panviva reports don’t include scores.
